So, after putting it off for just short of an eternity, I decided to man up to my earlier challenge to myself to actually throw away a few chapters and re-write them from scratch. It's strange, at first I didn't think I could do it. After editing and revising for so long, with such long breaks even during that, it's been a while since I've actually created something that wasn't an alteration of a pre-existing passage. It was unusually intimidating at first, I couldn't figure out what I actually wanted to write; I had an idea but nothing concise. No real plan.
Then I remembered thats how the first seven-hundred-ish pages of this damn series was written. Quite blindly. And tonight, rather literally. I wrote an full page and a half, which I'm unabashedly proud of, nearly its entirety with my eyes closed. I don't know why it helped, but oh lord the typos that I left in my wake. My typing seems to be a bit rusty as well, realized well in hindsight.
But hey, that's one less page that I have to write before I finish this thing.
If anybody would like to read this new fully re-written chapter that takes place within Saranoda, whether when its complete or piecemeal as I write it, let me know :)
